Drup-ol has launched!

Well, I have finally loaded up Drupal 6 for my Drup-ol (Drupal-Out Loud) sandbox. It has taken longer than expected, but I have a new task in front of me. I have been asked to develop a way for users to create a directory entry to list their information. This entry needs to include basic information and detailed information about the person, while being search-able. The search-able listings will need to just display a teaser view providing the basics and a more detailed variation when clicked. While this is rather straight forward in Drupal 6, the next part is not.

Hulu.com - new legal torrent, without the .torrent

Hulu.comHulu.com is now live. Well, it actually has been since March 12th, but nonetheless, it's here. If you aren't familiar with Hulu.com, they are an online video on demand service, which is a joint venture between NBC Universal and News Corp. Basically they offer free, high-quality, ad supported, streaming television shows and movies.

There is no longer that need to go out searching for the full, 223rd season of the Simpsons on "The Pirate Bay" and waiting 3 months for the download to finish. Why? Because you can find it on Hulu.com.

A new approach and Drupalol

As you may have read in my previous blog entry, I'm in the process of rethinking my website and what I want it to provide. I've gotten into the habit of providing nothing more than static content in my previous renditions of corydorning |dot| com, which thanks to godaddy |dot| com, is now corydorning |dot| net (it's a long story). It was the usual about, portfolio, resume, and services information which was rather dry. But after pondering for awhile of what I could and wanted do to make this site more interactive and provide better information, I realized something.
